    Travel to Steigen?
    With car / bike: Follow the E6 to Tømmernes in Hamarøy municipality, Nordland

    district. Follow the road to Skjelvareid. By Skjelvareid you will find an important crossroads. 
     

    Without the car Bodø city the most important intersection. You can go to Bodø

    and Steigen in the following ways:

    Express boat:     Between Bodø and Helnessund, Nordskot, Holkestad and Bogen.

    Holkestad arrival on request.

    Bus:     Norway express bus runs between Bodø / Fauske and Narvik / Harstad / Stokmaknes / Tromsø. Correspondence on Tømmernes (between Narvik and Fauske)

    to Steigen.

    Aircraft:     Both SAS Braathens, Norwegian and has daily flights to / from Bodø.

    The Norwegian "Hurtigruta": Bodø and Svolvær is the nearest hurtigrute calls.

    Train: Nearest stations are Bodø and Fauske. From Fauske there is often Bus correspondence on Tømmernes to Steigen.
